Our Story

RailTracking.pk started the way many good ideas do — with a personal frustration. One of our founders spent three hours standing on a platform in the summer heat, with zero information about when the delayed train would actually pull in. No display board, no helpline update, nothing. Just guessing.

Trains are the lifeline of Pakistan. They move millions of people each year — connecting the port city of Karachi to Lahore's commercial bustle, linking Peshawar's history-rich streets with Quetta's mountain air, and carrying students, workers, and families across the length of Punjab. But for all this importance, the gap between what travelers needed to know and what was actually available to them was enormous.

Stale printed timetables, no live updates, and no way to figure out where your train was until it either showed up or didn't. Families drove to the station two hours early, sat in the waiting hall, and hoped for the best. Working professionals missed critical meetings because a delay announcement only came after they were already there. Students rearranged exam plans around trains that never kept to schedule.

We decided to fix that problem ourselves.

In early 2026, a handful of software developers and data engineers who happened to also be rail travel regulars came together with a clear goal: build a platform that turns Pakistan Railways' raw GPS feeds into something anyone can understand at a glance. Not just a map with dots — a genuine tool that answers the question every traveler asks: “Where is my train, and when will it get here?”

We spent weeks studying the realities of Pakistani internet — patchy 3G signals in rural Sindh, overloaded networks in Karachi during rush hours, budget smartphones with limited RAM. Every engineering decision was shaped by these constraints. The result is a platform that loads in under two seconds on a slow connection, supports English and Urdu natively, and runs in any browser without needing an app download.

Today, RailTracking.pk serves over 100,000 users every month. A college student in Lahore checks the Subak Raftar before his morning lecture. A trader in Hyderabad monitors the Shalimar Express carrying his consignment. A grandmother in Gujranwala follows the Green Line on her phone to know exactly when her grandchild will arrive. All of them do this for free, without creating an account, without downloading anything.

Our Mission

Make real-time railway information available to every Pakistani — regardless of their device, their network speed, or the language they think in. We want to eliminate the guesswork from train travel and replace it with reliable, minute-by-minute intelligence.

Knowing where your train is shouldn't depend on owning an expensive phone or having 4G. It's public infrastructure data, and it should reach the public — all of it, equally, and for free.

Our Commitment

Our commitment is to accuracy, transparency, and equal access. We don't promote one train over another, we don't hide data behind paywalls, and we don't shade the numbers. What our GPS pipeline sees, you see.

Every ETA on our screen is backed by a calculation that blends the official schedule with real-time delay telemetry. We continuously refine these algorithms so that when you read “arriving in 23 minutes,” you can genuinely rely on it.

Our Core Values

Four pillars that shape every feature we ship and every pixel we place.

Accuracy First

We'd rather display nothing than display wrong data. Every coordinate, every ETA is verified before it reaches your screen.

Universal Access

Zero logins, zero fees, zero friction. If your device has a browser, you have full access.

Bilingual Service

Complete English and Urdu support throughout the platform. Search, browse, and read in whichever language feels right.

Fast & Lightweight

Engineered for Pakistan's network reality. Loads fast on 2G/3G and works smoothly on budget phones.

The Engine Behind Your Dashboard

What looks like a simple map on your screen is powered by a pipeline that crunches thousands of GPS readings every minute to deliver accurate, actionable travel intelligence.

📡

Direct GPS Feed

Our servers pull coordinate data straight from the transponders installed on Pakistan Railways locomotives. Fresh positions arrive every few seconds, letting us plot each train's exact location on your map in near-real-time.

Predictive ETA Engine

Raw coordinates only tell half the story. We layer on historical delay patterns, current velocity, track-section speed limits, and scheduled dwell times to compute arrival estimates that beat any static timetable.

🌍

True Bilingual Interface

Type “تیزگام” or “Tezgam” and you'll reach the same accurate result. Our entire interface — search, schedules, station names, alerts — works natively in both English and Urdu so no Pakistani is left out.

1

Completely Free — No Catches Ever

No premium tiers, no subscription nags, no hidden upgrade prompts. Every feature you see on RailTracking.pk is available to every visitor at zero cost, today and always.

2

Instant Access, No Sign-Up

We never ask for your email, phone number, or any personal detail. Open the site, type a train name, and you're tracking. Your privacy isn't a feature — it's a default.

3

Engineered for Pakistan's Internet Reality

Our pages are stripped down for speed. We've tested extensively on 2G connections in rural Sindh and 3G in northern Punjab. If you can load a webpage, you can use RailTracking.

4

Made in Pakistan, for Pakistani Travelers

We know which trains matter most, which routes are busiest during Eid, and which stations need extra detail. This isn't a one-size-fits-all global product — every decision is tailored to Pakistan Railways.

5

Native Urdu Interface (اردو)

Type train names in Urdu, read schedules in Urdu, and navigate every screen in Urdu. We didn't bolt on a translation — we built the Urdu experience from scratch alongside the English one.

An Independent Initiative

RailTracking.pk is an independent, privately run information service. We have no official connection to Pakistan Railways, the Ministry of Railways, or any government body. The data displayed on our platform comes from publicly available GPS feeds and official timetable publications, repackaged into a more accessible and user-friendly experience.

For ticket purchases, seat reservations, refunds, or formal complaints, please reach out to Pakistan Railways directly via their national helpline 117 or through the official government portal.
